Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to make your loved one feel special. For us, breakfast in bed is usually reserved for vacations or getaways where we aren’t rushing weekend mornings to get to the gym or clean the house. To switch things up in our home, this week, I have teamed up with Home Outfitters’ Live Inspired Blog to give you some quick tips to help surprise your loved one with a yummy and romantic experience this Valentines Day with a simple breakfast in bed.
My Hubby’s breakfast of choice? Thankfully nothing too fancy (I am no guru in the kitchen) French toast with strawberries and of course, bacon. I took it to the next level by attempting turn the french toast into hearts with a heart-shaped cookie-cutter.
My Simple French Toast

-1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Whisk the eggs, nutmeg, cinnamon, milk and vanilla extract in a large bow
Dunk the slices of bread into the bowl, allowing the bread to soak up the mixture
Fry wet slices in a frying pan until golden brown
Add desired toppings and enjoy!
