What do you get when you mix an Instagram-worthy location with amazing service and friendly staff? The Answer? Kitchener-Waterloo’s recently renovated boutique hotel, The Walper Hotel. Last month, Eryn, Finn and I had the chance to check out the newly renovated digs and enjoy a quick stay in one of Ontario’s oldest neighbourhoods just an hour outside of Toronto.
The charming meets modern boutique hotel has everything covered for their guests plus some serious wow factors sprinkled throughout each unique room. From locally brewed pour over coffee stations and the complimentary high-speed internet to show-stopping custom wallpaper and Simmons’ Walper Signature Pillowtop beds, The Walper Hotel was an upgraded home away from home for the three of us.
Although our stay was quick, it was jam-packed with stylish amenities (think gorgeous interior courtyards, a trendy second-floor lounge with shared workstations) and one especially memorable dinner at their hip underground restaurant, TWH Social. With a thoughtfully sourced menu focused on sustainability and diversity (still drooling over their Queen Street Buddha Bowl) and some serious ambiance, it is no wonder the TWH Social is known as Downtown Kitchener’s destination for community and conversation.
All in all, if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay just outside of Toronto, with amazing service, picture-perfect accommodations, and a killer restaurant, you can not overlook The Walper Hotel.
