4 Simple Steps to Smooth Summer Legs

Exfoliate

The first step to getting smooth legs is to give them a good scrub. Exfoliating your body also helps your moisturizer penetrate better and your self-tanner apply more evenly, since the process removes dead cells that make skin’s surface rough.

Brown Sugar Scrub Recipe

  • 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons of coconut oil

Wax

Next I need to get my legs fuzz-free! We all know how uncomfortable this step can be, but with the unique ‘Bye-Bye Ouch formulation found in Nair’s new Cire Divine Moroccan Argan Oil wax its time to wave goodbye to pain! Nair’s Pro-Senstive Complex adheres perfectly to the hair and less to the skin, reducing the uncomfortable sensation associated with waxing.  Best part? It lasts for almost four weeks and can be used on hair as short as 2mm so you are never left fuzzy! For more information visit NairCare.ca

Known for its moisturizing and nourishing qualities, Nair Cire Divine Moroccan Argan Oil Wax’s is suitable for all skin types and is enriched with Moroccan Argan Oil and orange blossom fragrance.

Moisturize

Your legs won’t look their best unless they’re properly hydrated, which is where more coconut oil comes comes in. The oil is best applied right after stepping out of the shower. The coconut oil sinks into skin and dries quickly.  I love adding peppermint essential oil to the coconut oil for both the fresh scent and the cooling and calming effect on my skin.nair-wax-summer-legs-smooth-tips-recipes-exfoiliate-moisturize-selftannernair-wax-summer-legs-smooth-tips-recipes-exfoiliate-moisturize-selftannernair-wax-summer-legs-smooth-tips-recipes-exfoiliate-moisturize-selftanner

Add some Colour

Lastly if your legs have still yet to see any sunshine give them a little glow with an at home self tanner.  By combining coffee grounds with either coconut oil or olive oil you can get instantly bronzed in a safe and health way.
Directions:
  1. Mix equal parts coffee grounds and oil in a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes
  2. Standing either in your tub or shower (unless you want it on your bathroom floor) with gloves, rub the mixture over your legs for 5 minutes and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Quickly Rinse

I’m going to have to try that DIY scrub. I’ve used Nair before and I like it… it just smells weird. Have they changed the smell at all? It’s been a few years since I’ve tried.
