My Summer Hair Story

summerhairstory-tresemmewaves-rosecitystyleguide

For those who don’t already know, I am no hair guru. Ever since I have decided to grow out my hair I have struggled with how to style and keep it interesting, especially since the summer heat is on its way.  As my hair continues to grow, it becomes so much more work and I am running out of excuses to refer back to my go-to pony tail.  So, when I was contacted to try the new TRESemme Perfectly (Un)Done Collection, it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time!

This collection gave me easy access to beautiful wavy styles I love while still looking like “I woke up like this.”  Made with Sea Kelp extract, the products infuse hair with texture for natural looking waves for an all over gorgeously (un)done wavy look and last all day (most of the time 2 days!)

I am so excited to share with you three styles I will be added to my regular hair lineup this summer thanks to the TRESemme Perfectly (Un)Done Collection, The Boho Wave, The Beachy Wave and the Hollywood Wave….

THE BOHO WAVE

Nothing screams care-free summer like a boho wave! Perfect for the weekend,  this right off the runway look is the essential style for those backyard BBQ’s and outdoor concerts you will be headed to this season.  I got a little extra fancy with the help of my friend Stephanie Kathleen and added two braids for a little twist.
Directions:
Start with TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Silicone Free Shampoo and Conditioner

Work TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done WavesTM Sea Foam through damp hair.

For added volume, flip hair over and dry on high heat. Then using a curling iron, wrap the hair around the barrel vertically from root to end, alternating the direction of your curls.

To loosen and separate, run fingers through waves and finish with TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done WavesTM Ultra Brushable Hairspray for long-lasting control and hold.If you need to touch up during the day, just spritz to tame any rogue flyaways.

Tresemme-RoseCityStyleGuide_LivelyCreativeCo-4 THE BEACH WAVE

Easy and breezy, the beach wave is my ultimate fave.  It gives me a simple and casual look  with no tools!  Just the TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Waves Sea Salt Spray plus a smidge of TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Waves Ultra Brushable hairspray to keep the look locked in!
Directions:

Start with TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Silicone Free Shampoo and Conditioner

Apply TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done WavesTM Sea Salt Spray through damp hair.

For naturally wavy hair, just scrunch and air-dry or diffuse. For straight hair, roughly blow dry hair and add loose wave texture by wrapping your hair around your straightening iron.

Brush with a wide tooth comb and mist your hair with TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done WavesTM Ultra Brushable hairspray.

THE HOLLYWOOD WAVE

This look is a new take on the classic Hollywood wave.  The glam undone waves are perfect for more of a sophisticated evening without looking like you are trying to hard.  I will definitely be rocking this look all wedding season long!
Directions:
Start with TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Silicone Free Shampoo and Conditioner

Apply TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done WavesTM Sea Foam to wet hair from roots to tips. Blow dry with a round brush for volume and lift.

Create a deep side part. Using a curling iron, curl sections
of hair parallel to your part. Let curls fall into your palm, let cool then hold in place with pin curl clips.

Once hair is fully cool, gently loosen waves using a wide tooth comb. For touchable control, set with TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done WavesTM Ultra Brushable Hairspray.

Ya! let me know how it goes! These products don’t break the bank and they give you the same looks as those expensive salon brands!

Thank you so much! I don’t use a lot of products in my hair and when I do I am rather fussy with what I use. I will be looking this up now!
