Even though the weather hasn’t been cooperating lately (did you catch that snow yesterday?) I am all in for spring and everything it brings.  To celebrate, a couple of weeks ago (when the weather was a lot nicer) I went on a picnic filled with sunshine sweet treats and some delicious sips! Usually a white wine kinda gal, I was eager to try 3 new Rosé wines now available at the LCBO.

My New Favourite Rosé Wines Available at LCBO

Uprising Shiraz Rosé

The details: Pale salmon in colour this fragrant rosé offers aromas of strawberry, cherry and floral. The palate is light, dry and soft with flavours of fresh red berry fruit and hints of citrus on a crisp finish.

What I loved about it: Not sweet and super dry and crisp!

Bacalhoa Jp Azitao Rosé

The details: Pale pink color with floral aromas of roses and wildflowers, giving a slightly feminine profile. On the palate the first impression is enhanced floral supplemented with good acidity and structure to give a wine a fresh finish with a slight mineral note.

What I loved about it: Paired perfectly with a vinaigrette dressing it was fresh, fruity, and light.

Nugan Estate Third Generation Shiraz Rosé

The details: Light ruby in colour this rosé offers aromas of raspberry, cherry and vanilla on the nose; the palate is light and dry with low acidity and flavours of cherry, raspberry and yellow plum followed by a soft finish.

What I loved about it: It was extra dry (a fave of mine) but still easy-going. Really enjoyed sipping on this but would be perfect as a spritzer as well.

Also, be sure to check out these killer Rosé recipes I stumbled upon.
