I have had such a great pregnancy so far, but I don’t think it’s just chance. I believe I owe it to taking the time to stay healthy and active. Walks or slow jogs on the treadmill and prenatal yoga have been my go-to options so far. But when it comes to Yoga in particular, it’s always with my friend and Doula, Brandi from Brandi Rivait Yoga.
Even though she won’t be starting dedicated prenatal classes until she moves to her new Lakeshore Med Art Centre location in 2017, every women with a bump knows, Brandi always takes the time to make sure all mamas-to-be are practicing safely. Adjustments, pose modifications and special attention are always happening throughout her regularly scheduled class for all yogis. Her Yoga Basics class every Monday at 6pm and Align & Flow Beginner Class on Tuesdays at 5:30 are a great place to start for any mom-to-be. Plus, there is always the option to get private studio or in-home sessions if you would like more 1-on-1 attention.
So, even though heading to yoga with Brandi Rivai Yoga has been a no-brainer this pregnancy, dressing for the class has more of a challenge with my new bump. With the help of Sport Chek, Brandi and I shopped some looks perfect for any upcoming yoga class for any yogi with or without a bump.

I have been a long-time lover of Nike gear. I love their designs and Dri-FIT technology fabrics that keep me cool and dry no matter how hard I work at the gym or the studio. Even though I did size up in both my top and bottom to fit my new bump perfectly. The elastic waistband and flat seams on the capris and tank offers a snug, comfortable fit that feel smooth against my skin. The Nike Tank is also perfect for layering or wearing solo and the length offers the extra coverage I need for my bump. -Amanda

I love the bold font & bright colours of the tights from addidas by Stella McCartney line. I choose Adida’s active wear because of their ongoing collaboration with Stella McCartney who in the latest collection includes pieces that are 95% waste free or made from recycled materials. They’re part of Stella’s Low Waste range with Adidas, where they use minimal waste and repurposed leftover fabrics. Stella McCartney also does not use leather, skins, or fur in any of collections, she been a vegan since she was a child. -Brandi
