Nothing is better when you’re a parent than peace of mind. When were in the hospital for the extra time in the incubator under the lights, I didn’t sleep a wink. Finn had jaundice, and because it is a low risk issue, he wasn’t monitored. But, as a newborn still developing everything, he would choke and gag while sleeping keeping me on my toes. That’s why now that we are home, Josh and I swear by the Owlet.
The Owlet is a simple monitor that wears like a sock and give us Finn’s heart rate and oxygen via iPhones. It also has a base monitor that is designed to notify you if those levels fall outside the preset zones or if it cannot get a proper read on Finn’s vitals. It’s given us the comfort knowing that there is always something extra checking in whoever is watching Finn.
Owlet has also just launched their Smart Sock 2 with even better range and accuracy. It also has a new sock design that can be alternated on each foot with a more secure fit. For those of you who already own one, you can also upgrade your current version for only $150 ! If you don’t have an Owlet yet, you can get an Owlet Smart Sock 2 here
