Over the years I have collected a ton of jewelry. The reason? It didn’t matter if my size changed plus my collection wasn’t taking up too much space (or so I thought) so, I never really tossed anything. Now, you can only imagine my stash to date! So, when I got my hands on the prettiest pieces to organize and display my jewelry from Home Outfitters, I knew I had to tackle this part of my wardrobe.
First off? I sorted everything into 2 piles of costume jewelry and real items of value. Then I went through each pile and created 4 more piles: Keep, Sell, Donate and Toss. Piece by piece, I challenged myself to ask the questions:
Do I love it? | Would I choose to wear this over something else? | It is valuable? | If it is valuable, is it classic enough to stay fashionable? | Does it have sentimental value?
If the answer was yes to all 5 questions it was kept! If not? I brought the fashionable previously loved items over to a local consignment shop, Rhyan’s Mess, to be sold and the rest was either donated or tossed! After the process, I took some time to think about some of the items I couldn’t live without and I thought I would share them with you!
