Even though fall is around the corner it has been my mission to keep my summer alive and Windsor Adventure Inc. has made it easy!  A 1-stop shop for all things fun, Windsor Adventure Inc’s mission is provide memorable outdoor adventures right here in Windsor-Essex. From Paddle Boards and Kayaks to Long Boards and Bikes, this new rental company has everything for your next adventure.  So, last week my friend Stephanie and I hit their Lake St. Clair location for a Sunset paddle.

First off, we have Never used kayak before.  Thankfully Wayne, the owner and adventure travel specialist, gave us not just the Coles Notes on kayaking, but a full on lesson in on how to kayak, safety tips and some inside scoop on the best places to check out on our paddle. Since we rented the kayaks for 2 hours, his recommendation was to head over to Peche Island.

It took us less than 30 minutes to leisurely paddle across the channel and over to the island.  To be honest, we weren’t sure what to expect of Peche Island but we were surprised at its beauty. We took our time and made our way through one of its many canals through the island and took in the views.  We were also shocked to find so many trails, wild life and picnic areas. Our only regret was not renting our kayaks for longer so we could have enjoyed some more time to hike around and have a picnic.  So, on our next adventure this fall we will definitely be doing the Half-Day Rental to check out more of the island!

Where will you go on your #WindsorAdventure this fall?  Be sure to check out their full list of destinations here!

What a great way to keep summer going! This looks like such a fun way to spend a day. I love kayaking but I haven’t gone in a few years, this definitely makes me feel like I should plan something before it gets too cold!
