Workaholic or a bad case of Career FOMO it’s not unheard of for me to stay up late and get some work done but taking 5-10 minutes before bed to complete a skincare routine is painful. Thankfully, over the years I have been pretty lucky with great skin but as I get older it’s time for a serious reality check. So this year, I have partnered with Dermalogica to make a commitment to taking care of my skin.
First Step? Getting my Face Mapped. What’s face mapping you ask? Dermalogica’s unique skin analysis which provides insight into your skin’s past and present, and gives your a detailed prescription of a targeted home care regime for a healthy skin future. The Dermalogica Professional Skin Therapist uses Face Mapping to divide the facial landscape into fourteen zones. Each zone is examined to determine where conditions such as congestion, breakouts, dehydration, and/or hyperpigmentation are present. Only catch? Face Mapping is only available from a Dermalogica skin care professional at one their stores, or at an authorized salon or spa. Check out where your closest location is here!
When got my face mapped early fall I had several “Aha!” Moments. Little things like, “Did you know everyone has 14 unique zones on there face? Each with different needs? The top of your ears are often forgotten about when it comes to beauty treatments? Salicylic acid is a big no-no for pregnant women? Or that my fine lines could have been prevented with proper hydration!?” I was literally schooled by a Dermalogica professional skin therapist who opened my eyes to what I have been missing!
So, it’s been a few months since I started using Dermalogica products and let’s just say I’m hooked. The products are a perfect combination of simple to use with hardcore results. Plus, the Dermalogica facial I got a few weeks ago at Coral Med Spa totally sealed the deal. The product I can’t live without? The Phyto Replenish Oil. Combined with foundation if I am wearing makeup or solo, it gives me a dewy glow plus helps keep my foundation lasting a little bit longer. Talk about game changer!
