I work a lot. If I am not working my 9-5 job as a Media Strategist, I am working on the blog. So that means that most of my Saturdays and Sundays are spent planning, writing. editing and shooting for Rose City Style Guide. So this past weekend, instead of being curled up in my office at home for hours on end, I grabbed my Intel laptop and walked to a new local spot to enjoy a great atmosphere, some delicious & healthy eats & drinks.
This past month has been insane, and there is no sign of it stopping! So, it was great to meet Rachel (Lively Creative Co.) at Healthy Mama, a local vegan, vegetarian and raw based bistro located right near our homes in Tecumseh. We are huge coffee lovers (and it was pretty early), so the organic coffee and coconut creamer was essential to our work date. We decided to split a few of their yummy dishes like the Rainbow Kelp Salad make with Zucchini, Kelp Noodles and indulged in a guilt free Pumpkin Buckwheat Waffle with Apple Chia topping and Whipped Coconut Cream (which I am still dreaming about) I love how their dishes are made with mostly organic & non-gmo market-fresh ingredients and are also gluten-free and I always end up bringing something from their ‘to-go’ section home for later on like a fresh green juice.
It hasn’t been always this easy to escape my office but since I received my new Intel Laptop I have created a device that has everything I need in one place. The OS is clean, familiar and has a bunch of new features like the Cortana virtual assistant it allows me to create my very own virtual office anywhere I go!
How do you get outside of the office and still get stuff done? Let me know in the comments below!
