Baby Motherhood

Infant Essentials

Sitting pretty at 7 months, our monkey man Finn now eats solids, crawls, babbles and pulls himself up to stand. Our lives have completely changed and it’s safe to say our essentials have too. So, now that Finn has moved on to the next stage, I thought I would share with you the things we currently can’t live without that I got shipped right to my door from (most within 2 days using my amazon prime membership).  Plus, I am giving away one of my essentials to one lucky reader!

Beaba Baby Cook

Since we have started solids we have been only making his baby food using the Beaba Baby Cook.  I love how I can literally toss food it and press go and come back to it after its finished when my hands aren’t full.  Plus, it’s no mess system has everything happening in the same pitcher, so, there is minimal clean up when we are cooking and blending in the same compartment.

ezpz Mini Mat

In a nutshell, ezpz plates, mats, and bowls capture kids’ messes while suctioning directly to the table, making it nearly impossible for tiny hands to tip over. We love them for baby led feedings. But, I would recommend checking the size of your high chair table to see what version fits best for you and your babe.

Skip Hop Activity Centre

The Skip Hop Explore and More Baby’s View 3-Stage Activity Center has been an essential since around 3 months and it has not gotten old.  It adjusts in height and eventually converts into a toddler table so it is not leaving the house anytime soon. He still loves the toys attached (which can be removed) and loves watching our neighbors from the window in it. Definitely worth the buy.

Amber Teething Necklace

Even though I am not 100% it actually works, Finn has worn his Amber Teething Necklace non-stop (except for sleeping) and we have got through this teething stage.  There was a day we did not put it on and he was a complete mess, so, since then we have been religiously wearing it.

Munchkin Mesh Feeders

When it comes to teething, these are lifesavers! The Deluxe Munchkin Mesh Feeders allow me to place frozen chunks of fruit or veggies in them and he can go to town on them with no fear of him choking on anything.  He will gnaw away at it until its room temperature.

Skip Hop Floor Tiles

We love these Skip Hop Floor Tiles because are they not only neutral (so hard to find) but they save our little guy from more bumps and bruises from our hardwood floors. Plus, you can place them in any shape you wish and create your own designs. The only con? He now realizes they can be torn apart, but it does keep him entertained!

Marcus and Marcus Rocket Spoon

Feeding a baby is not always easy but with Marcus & Marcus Rocket Feeding Dispenser Spoon, it is a tad more relaxed. Just simply remove the spoon head to fill baby food into the rocket container and squeeze the rocket container to dispense! The stand-up function also provides a hygienic purpose as the spoon does not touch the table’s surface.

Keekaroo Peanut Changer

We don’t know any better since we have had it since day one, but I can’t imagine having to change the diaper pad every time it gets a bit messy.  The Keekaroo Peanut Changer is not only durable to stand up to everyday demands and comfortable for easy cleanup but the material is resistant to tears and peels and helps the changer limit bacteria growth and limits mold from everyday use.

For my 9 month teething boy, I agree with you on the amber necklace and we keep a variety of teething toys and a lovely Finity handmade necklace on hand. Books are also a huge favourite right now, especially Brown Bear by Eric Carle!
