I’ve been on a health kick lately. Even though you may not of noticed when I was drinking one too many glasses of wine this past weekend celebrating a certain bride to be, I have avoided dairy, kicked sugar and amped up my fruit and veggie intake.  It all started when I realized that my diet was 90% coffee and Aussie Bites from Costco.  I blame Finn.

After coming to terms with the fact that this wack diet wasn’t helping Finn or myself, it was time to put it to bed.  So, last month, I dusted off my Oh She Glows cookbook, signed into my Loblaws Click and Collect account and got down to business.  But besides diet, I really wanted to start taking care of my gut.

I have had digestive issues for as long as I can remember.  After years of trying to figure it out, it really comes down to my diet and proper water intake but incorporating probiotics makes a big difference.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with probiotics, they are the beneficial bacteria that grows naturally in our intestinal tract.  Its primary role is to aid in digestion, but studies have linked this “good” bacteria to immune system function. But, not all probiotic supplements are created equal. You should look for mutli-strain formulas as well as high potency (contains at least 50 billion active bacteria per serving)

But, because of mom brain, I am always forgetting to take my probiotics at home. So, I have stashed the Renew Life Ultimate Flora Go Pack in my personal tote within the diaper bag.  Plus, its single serve and doesn’t need to be refrigerated. So, when I forget to take it at home (as usual) there is a package that is easily tucked away while on-the-go.
