Get Holiday Ready

With my social calendar already filling up with parties and social gatherings this holiday season, there are few things I can’t do without. In years past, I would take my time to get ready, sometimes with friends and a glass a wine, but since having Finn, balancing a baby and getting ready has really come down to a work of art.  So, this year I have really pared down my list of party-ready must-haves to the bare essentials.

When it comes to holiday parties, I instantly think of a party dress.  Then, my second thought is the state of my legs.  That is why my Schick staples are always on top of the list.  My go-to essential is usually my Schick Intuition razor because it is the ultimate one-step time saver, but sometimes I even opt for my Schick QuattroYou razors paired with Skintimate shave gel.  Both get the job done and leave my skin feeling hydrated so I am not self-conscious about my winter legs. Especially because pantyhose is my nemesis.

Next up, for me, perfume is saved for special occasions. I am super sensitive to smell so I hardly ever wear any fragrances. But, I love the Marc Jacob Daisy perfume. Holiday parties are a perfect occasion because I know I will be around a ton of people and shelling out hugs to everyone. Plus, it is a simple step that helps me feel more put together.

It doesn’t matter where I go or do lately, I have been all about those brows.  So, it’s safe to say that when it comes to holiday parties I will be making sure my brows are on point.  I love the benefit line of brow options. The Precisely My Brow Pencil is life for me and the Fool Proof Brow Powder helps me fill in all the gaps.  Lastly, the Gimme Brow gel sets them in place for the evening.

Lastly, lipstick is the last thing I put on before heading out the door.  Lately, I have actually been putting it on in the car on the way to the party because of the smooches I give Finn before you leave, but you get the idea.  I love a nude lip because it is so much more low-maintenance compared to a red one (even though a red lip is so festive) but I would rather be paying attention to the people I am with than worrying about my lipstick.
