Lifestyle: Carry On Travel Essentials

travel-essentials-carryon-traveling-rosecitystyleguide-fashion-blog-lifestyle-blog-canadianFor a morning full of traveling a perfectly packed carry on is guaranteed way to make your trip a little more seamless.  Today I am traveling from Windsor to Ottawa for work so I thought I would share with you my carry on travel essentials.

Healthy Snacks

Airplane food = mostly gross or unhealthy. I usually pack a couple of snacks to eat so I can stay away from the processed chips or cookies headed my way.

I always bring a scarf with me to be used as a blanket while flying. Small enough to toss in your carry on if it’s toasty but still big enough to compact the inflight chill.

These babies drown out the crying baby a few rows ahead or the snoring man next to you.

A New Read

Even though I bring my ipad where I usually download my new reads, I like avoiding the on-offs of the electronic devices and just flip open real book.

Glam Glow Thirsty Mask

Apply at the beginning of the flight & leave on for flight duration. It hydrates, moisturizes, restores, replenishes and calms the skin while you travel without looking ridiculous.  By the time I get to my final destination, I just apply my regular makeup routine right over top!

Lip Balm & Body Butter

After the long haul in the dry airport and on the airplane your lips and hands will thank you, trust me! My go to items are The Body Shop’s travel size minis of their creamy shea butter.

I love these ideas! I always struggle with packing these sorts of things, even though I do it pretty often. Moisturiser is key. The soap at airports always dries out my skin for some reason!

Thanks for sharing! I’m traveling soon and will be sure to follow these tips. Very helpful! Also, I’ve been meaning to try the glam glow – must try now!

Totally loving this list. I never thought to bring a scarf and use it as a blanket. I’m always freezing on planes!
