If you’re like me, and kill almost every plant that enters my home, succulents are the way to go. The perfect plant for forgetful gardeners,  Succulents are easy to care for and can brighten any indoor space.  So for this post, I am teaming up with local florist and friend, Stefanie, from The Bourbon Rose Floral Design Co. to give you a simple tutorial o

What you will need:

Vessel (jar, cup, copper pot, etc.)

How to Bring A Succulent Into Your Home

Step 1: Choose Your Vessel

Anything will work really from a glass jar to a teacup!  (tip: If using copper pots, like we used, you may want to seal the inside with a primer so the copper doesn’t leach into the soil)

Step 2: Add Rocks
Add a few rocks at the bottom of your container for drainage
Step 3:  Add Soil

Add some soil, then place the plant inside, add more soil on top (this will keep that guy locked in place)

Step 4 : Add Water

Give the guy a little drink – water the plant to secure it in place and you’re done!

Remember not to over water these guys (every 2-3 weeks should be good) and don’t forget, they like the sun, so keep in a bright area of your home!
